I AM JUST SAYING...

I like this tag at the end of sentences in our culture today. I find it cute and funny because it is often used to reflect someone speaking a true comment, but doing it in jest, and then following the comment with the words... "I am just saying".

This blog, however, is seldom going to be "I am just saying" commentary, because those are for another place and time. The title of this blog is "Tammy's Prayer Talk" for a reason. The things I want to write are thoughts and prayers intertwined together that come to my heart as I have my quiet times, as I reflect on the goodness of God throughout the day, as I think of revelations that He has shown me. It is not a time of "I am just saying", but more of a time of "He has just spoken" and "I am simply responding"!

SO FOR TODAY...

What I have been meditating upon and being reminded of is how beautiful and precious the restoration of our God is in our lives. When you know and trust Jesus as Savior and Lord, the surrender of our will begins and over the years, there are various stages of this surrender. Sometimes it is fierce like the hurricane winds that beats against our beaches and homes; other times it is like the gentle break of a wave on the seashore that happens naturally and peacefully, with us barely noticing. But no matter how this surrender comes, fiercely or gently...it comes as we walk hand in hand with our Lord.

I see Him doing this in 3 of my precious friends/families lives right now...and I stand in awe every time I experience this for myself and when I see it in others' lives! To God be the glory, great things He has done!

When it happens...now that is worth talking about! The peace that the natural woman can't comprehend happens inside our soul; the fear subsides; the answers come; the spark of joy is renewed; and hope is unveiled again out of nowhere.

And then as we walk this surrender out, through obeying what we know, praying what we have on our heart, worshiping the One who makes it possible, and simply waiting for His will to be done ~ on earth as it is in heaven...THEN, He begins the next stage of His miraculous work. He begins to restore things that were lost, relations that were broken, truths that were forgotten, and hope that says deep down in the secret place...IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL AGAIN!

He also restores even the practical things like health, jobs, financial stability, fellowship with friends/family/and the body of Christ. He is a God of restoration! If you need that aspect of who God is in your life today...my prayer is that you ask the Lord to restore what the enemy has stolen in your life; to restore the things I had and trampled upon myself with choices and mistakes. He will then hear from heaven, forgive, and heal us. If this is your story, ask Him for the courage and power to obey Him today no matter what...and begin to thank Him now for being a God that reconciles His daughters to Himself! I pray that you know and feel the restoration of our God today as you dwell on the Psalmist words below:

Psalms 23
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

In His Grip,

Tammy
